New Britain library book sale opens Thursday

NEW BRITAIN – The Friends of the New Britain Public Library will hold their fall book sale of the year this weekend from Oct. 11-13.

About, 15,000 plus books will be offered at the sale, with a variety of options to choose from. CDs, DVDs, books on CD, vinyl and 78 RPM records will also be available for purchase.

A great selection of children’s and young adult books, art books, cookbooks, religious and spiritual books, military history and books in Polish and several languages will be available, according to their press release.

Some books will be “specially-priced” and all proceeds will go directly to the New Britain Public Library.

Members of the girls' volleyball team from CREC's Innovation Academy in New Britain spent last Saturday morning helping to set up for the Fall Book Sale. 

The event will be held in the Library’s Community Room at 20 High St. in New Britain.

The sale will be open today from 4 to 7p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
