NEW BRITAIN – Free COVID-19 tests are now available through the Community Health Center and no appointment is required.

A popup testing site at East End Community Center, 22 Glen St., on Monday, June 29, will be available to community members who are interested in getting tested. Hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Officials from the Community Health Center said walk-up or drive-up COVID-19 testing is now available at various pop up sites and people are encouraged to visit the sites.

“You do not need to have any symptoms to get tested and no appointment is required,” according to the center. “You do not need to be a patient at the site to get a test and you can get tested as many times as needed. Especially for those working in the food or other customer-facing industries, frequent testing is very important.”

After the testing, results will be given by phone in three to five days.
