Bristol Hospital treating eight coronavirus patients as state sees another increase in covid-19 hospitalizations

BRISTOL - Bristol Hospital is treating eight patients who have tested positive for coronavirus.

After reporting on Tuesday that it had 10 patients with the virus, the hospital on Wednesday reported discharging three patients with covid-19 and admitting one.

Bristol Hospital has now successfully discharged 107 patients with coronavirus. The decline in covid-19 patients reported at the hospital Wednesday was the first drop in patients reported since last Wednesday. Bristol Hospital’s coronavirus numbers were on the rise between Thursday and Tuesday.

Statewide, coronavirus hospitalizations rose again, according to statistics released Wednesday. The most recent numbers indicate 17 more patients are hospitalized with the virus compared to a day earlier, bringing the state’s total to 309 hospitalizations.
