BRIDGEPORT - The New Britain Bees fell behind early and ran out of outs.

Nick Greenwood was charged with five runs in four innings of work as the Bees fell to the Bridgeport Bluefish 5-3 Friday night.

For Greenwood, it was his second shaky start in a row.

Bridgeport got on the board in the bottom of the first, scoring two runs on back-to-back singles by Jose Cuevas and Daniel Fields. The Bluefish would later add three more in the fourth thanks to a solo homer run by Jonathan Galvez and a two-run double by D’Arby Myers, putting the Bees down 5-0.

New Britain attempted to make it a game in the seventh, scoring all three of its runs. Craig Maddox doubled home Jovan Rosa for the first. Two batters later, Jordan Hinshaw came through with an RBI single. He later scored on a single from Jamar Walton.
