BRIDGEPORT - Tsuyoshi Fujiwara continues to impress as a member of the New Britain Bees.

The 19-year-old from Japan logged three base hits, including the eventual game winner in the top of the ninth Friday night to help the Bees stage a 7-6 come-from-behind victory against the Bridgeport Bluefish.

Fujiwara singled off David Carpenter, sending Jamar Walton to third, who then scored on a throwing error by second baseman Angel Rosa.

Walton had scored the tying run in the seventh off a double from James Skelton.

That bailed Brain Dupra out of having to take the loss. New Britain’s starter was charged with six runs in just 3 2/3 innings in what has been a tough stretch for the right-hander over his last six starts.

Both teams scored early with Jordan Hinshaw and Craig Maddox each driving in two runs apiece for the Bees.
