Berlin girls soccer wins Amenta's coaching debut after easy victory over Maloney

MERIDEN - New head coach, no problem.

The Berlin girls soccer started off the Katie Amenta era with a bang as the Redcoats shut out Maloney 6-0 Saturday.

Berlin put on an offensive clinic as four different players scored on 42 shots.

Maxine Muscatello led all scorers with three goals, while Julia Sisti, Nikki Xiarhos and freshman Ashley Wenzel each added one of their own.

Cameron Michalek, Angela Perrelli and Emma Norton each had an assists. Wenzel finished with two to go along with her goal.

Lindsey Walsh saved both shots on goal for the Redcoats.
