HARTFORD – Patrick Cantlay and Keegan Bradley joined the 2021 Travelers Championship field Wednesday, three weeks ahead of this summer’s tournament.

Cantlay most notably shot the lowest amateur round ever at the event in 2011, finishing with a 60 as a 19-year-old sponsor exemption. Meanwhile, Bradley is a New England native and will be making his 11th straight appearance at TPC River Highlands.

“We’re adding two more great players to our field with Patrick and Keegan,” Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube said. “They both have a long history here and a large number of fans who will be cheering them on at TPC River Highlands this year.”

Born in Vermont, Bradley recorded his best finish at the Travelers in 2019, where he tied for second. A four-time PGA Tour winner, including the 2011 PGA Championship, the Hopkinton High School (Mass) graduate will be looking for his first victory on Tour since the BMW Championship win in 2018.

Cantlay is currently No. 15 in the Official World Golf Ranking, and will be looking for his first win since the 2020 Zozo Championship at Sherwood. The three-time Tour winner will make his seventh appearance in the tournament this summer, with his 2020 sixth-place performance counting as his highest finish.

“What Patrick did at the Travelers Championship in 2011 is unforgettable, and Keegan has played in the tournament for 10 straight years – I can’t wait to welcome both of them back,” Andy Bessette, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer at Travelers, said. “They’re PGA TOUR winners with a track record of success in Connecticut, so they’ll definitely be two players to watch.”

Cantlay and Bradley join Bryson DeChambeau, Brooks Koepka, Patrick Reed, Paul Casey, Marc Leishman, Justin Rose, Bubba Watson and defending champion Dustin Johnson in the field, which will be held June 21-27 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.
