Sports Roundup: Southington girls volleyball dominates Rocky Hill

ROCKY HILL - The Southington girls volleyball team got back on track Tuesday night.

The Blue Knights put on a dominant performance, sweeping Rocky Hill by scores of 25-12, 25-8 and 25-10.

As such, there were also a number of outstanding individual highlights throughout the match. Haley Larrabee recorded six kills and four aces; Steph Zera finished with 20 assists and seven digs; Erica Bruno tallied five kills; Emily Tinyszin had three kills; and Hannah Zelina finished with four kills.

Southington is now 12-2.

BOYS SOCCER

Goodwin Tech 1, Vinal Tech 0: The Gladiators have their first win of the season.

Remi Pokrywka scored the lone goal of the afternoon to deliver the victory for Goodwin Tech, which managed 19 shots.

Ayad Algahmi saved all nine shots to preserve the shutout.

The Gladiators are now 1-11-3.
