Innovation, aka Med-Ed Prep girls soccer defeated in CRAL semifinals

The top-seed Innovation girls soccer team, formerly known as Med-Ed Prep, was defeated in overtime in the semifinals of the Capitol Region Athletic League Tournament on Monday by HMTCA, 5-4.

For the Ravens, Kelsey Walicki scored two goals and Malena VanBeveren and Victoria Piechota had one each in the game.

HMTCA got two goals each from Chamara Wiggins - including the game-winner in overtime - and Bea Dresser, along with one from Taleea Wiggins in the victory.

Innovation’s Lianna Giles made eight saves in goal, while Chanel Gale stopped 18 shots for HMTCA.
