To the Editor:

I write today to give a big thumbs down to the Board of Education members who voted against wanting bipartisan leadership of that committee. I’m one of those people that doesn’t really care about what party you belong to. I care about people who have a genuine interest in the success of our community and our school system. The vote that was led by the Democratic candidate for mayor was disappointing to say the least. It is always surprising to see someone’s true colors.

I hope that the board decides to vote on this measure again and do the right thing. Though I am not hopeful those who voted no will change their minds. My vote is for bipartisanship. I am sick and tired of the bickering.
