To the Editor,

I first met Daniel Davis in the summer of 2016. At the time he was the chairman of the New Britain Republican Town Committee. I was impressed that such a young man had taken on this major responsibility. Daniel did a nice job leading the party through the federal and state election cycle. He did a good job communicating with members and the public, was easy to speak with and had a very friendly yet focused interpersonal style.

Since then I have also gotten to know Daniel in his role as outreach coordinator at the state legislature. The legislature’s’ support staff is critical in helping us communicate and meet with constituents throughout the district. Daniel brings a great work ethic and understands the issues that face us at both the local and state levels. He has great dedication and an excellent work ethic in his position as alderman for the city of New Britain. With his knowledge, persistence to tasks and love for the city of New Britain he will continue to help Mayor Erin Stewart drive economic development, rid the city of blight and be a key voice representing all, especially the younger members of the city.

I support Daniel fully and would encourage all New Britain residents to support and vote for this fine young man.

A young person like Daniel who is willing to work hard and commit the time and energy to the Common Council will lead New Britain and Connecticut to a bright and prosperous future.

William A. Petit, Jr. MD

State Representative, 22nd District

Plainville
