To the Editor:
Recently, Moody’s downgraded Berlin to a negative outlook in their latest rating.
We are in this position due to the same Progressive Democrat philosophy that has the state of Connecticut on the brink of bankruptcy. This philosophy of borrowing and spending based on the politics of envy and jealousy. Democrat Chair and former Mayor Rachelle Rochette, once said that “this is an affluent town, and when people need to get their roof fixed, they just get it fixed.” Meaning that you should be able to debt due to this philosophy, that we cannot in good conscience bond another large project for many years to come. We need to start saving, and pay down our debt, and have long range plans, before considering any future large infrastructure project.
Please support Mayor Mark Kaczynski and the Republican ticket to continue the plan of fiscal responsibility.
Current deputy mayor and candidate for re-election.
