To The Editor:
Just finished another round at the Stanley Golf Course and continue to be impressed with the facilities and personnel encountered each time I tee it up.
From the friendly pro shop, under the leadership of Head Professional Kyle Hedstrom to the condition of the course, which is in the capable hands of Superintendent Kevin DeVaux, I look forward to each and every round, played with lifelong friends, Jon Frascarelli, Tony Capsilors and Ralph Capsilors.
I do have one complaint, however: When I was younger and was 150 yards from the green, I used a 7 iron.
Now…I need a 3 wood and have to nail it, to get near the green!
I guess when one is 84 years old, things change.
And that includes the golf course, too. It is even better than it was when I was a young man.
