To The Editor:

I recently noticed signs in Berlin asking to re-elect Mark Kaczynski because he is concerned for ALL Berlin citizens. How could this be when the last two budget referendums cut teachers and administrators? Our children were put at risk because programs went unfunded. Strong schools lure young families to town, who buy houses and spend their money right here in Berlin. The education budget was not the only budget affected. The town budget was cut, foregoing needed repairs to town buildings and risking service to everyone in the community. To me, this spells a lack of concern for ALL Berlin citizens. We need better ideas and smarter use of our tax dollars. We need to work together with the Board of Finance to make sure we are providing the most comprehensive use of funds. We need to help Berlin move forward with solid plans to increase more new business, all actions that the current majority leadership on the Town Council has not done. New leadership and new ideas are needed. Only then can Berlin grow! Vote for Karen Pagliaro and the Democratic slate in Berlin. Lets’ keep Berlin moving forward!
