To The Editor:
I have known Bill for more than 25 years and I could not be more honored to call him friend.
I met Bill when he was the Oncology Nurse for a friend of mine who was receiving a bone marrow transplant. He was compassionate, kind, smart, and very upbeat.
Move forward from there and our paths crossed again when Bill decided to get involved with the Professional Union at the University of Connecticut Health Center. I was the President and eventually Bill became a Vice President. He is now the President of University Health Professionals, Local 3837.
That is who Bill is professionally; a consummate skilled negotiator, defender of the order, and strong advocate for employees’ rights. But he is so much more than that…
He is a husband and a father. He is a member of the Plainville community and cares deeply about Plainville the Town and especially the lives of its citizens and the schools. If you want someone who is a tireless listener, a passionate advocate, a team player, and most importantly an involved citizen, you will cast your vote for Bill on election day.
I promise he will make informed decisions that will move Plainville forward and will return your calls.
Please cast your vote for Bill Garrity who I am proud to call my friend.
