NEW BRITAIN - Suffering from painful leg veins or concerned about leg vein health? The Vein Centers of Connecticut, located at 23 Cedar St., make it their primary goal to make you look your best and feel your best.
“Each patient gets personalized care and individualized treatment” said Dr. Alfred Gladstone.
Dr. Alfred Gladstone and Dr. Wanda Kirejczyk are board certified physicians who diagnose and treat the vein issues with the newest technology. “For 16 years, we have been diagnosing and treating vein disease in our office. All procedures are done on site and require only a local anesthetic. Patients go home right after treatment,” Dr. Gladstone said.
The Vein Centers offer the latest technology including Radiofrequency, Endovenous Laser, and VenaSeal ablations for treatment of venous reflux, which “is the root cause of varicose vein issues,” said Dr. Gladstone. Vein disease occurs when blood that should be moving toward the heart, flows downward into the lower superficial veins. The increasing pressure often results in varicose veins and spider veins.
One of the newest treatments available at the Vein Center is VenaSeal. In this procedure, “we use a surgical adhesive to glue the vein in place. The vein then shrinks and stops the damaged vein from creating new varicose veins.” The treatment is better tolerated and the patient has a quicker recovery time than with Radiofrequency or Endovenous Laser. Currently, Venaseal is only covered by Medicare and Medicare Advantage plans.
When we asked Dr. Gladstone what he feels sets the Vein Centers of CT apart from his competitors he said, “We have an extremely personalized approach to our patient care. Our goal is to make the patient feel their best using the most advanced tools available for vein care.” This is true from the time the patient sets up their first appointment, either by calling or going to their website. Dr. Gladstone states that he and his colleagues “evaluate the patient and tailor the treatment plan for each patient.” At the first office visit, a consultation is done, a leg vein ultrasound is performed and the results are discussed with the patient. If vein disease is detected, a treatment plan is recommended all on the same day.
The Vein Centers accept all major health insurance plans and is always accepting new patients. Dr. Gladstone confirms “All insurance work is done in our office, removing the burden away from the primary care provider as well as the patient. Referrals are typically not needed for appointments, and we handle all prior authorizations required.”
Dr. Gladstone and Dr. Kirejczyk also staff the Vein Center location in Madison, and their colleagues Dr. James Choi and Dr. Guillermo Jimenez staff the Wallingford location.
Aesthetic services for Botox, Juvederm, and Kybella injections, and laser hair removal and spider vein treatment, as well as skincare products are offered in New Britain and Madison. Monthly promotions are offered to help you look your best and feel your best.
