New Britain – For over 50 years, the law firm of Weber and Carrier LLP, at 24 Cedar St., has been serving Connecticut residents with creative and efficient approaches to all of their legal needs.

According to Attorney Robert Weber, “the primary reason for our success is the personal, intimate relationships we build with our clients and their satisfaction with the firm’s performance.” The firm represents a wide array of clientele in the practices of personal injury, divorce, residential and commercial real estate, litigation, worker’s compensation, family law, criminal matters, business transactions, estate planning and probate.

Weber handles personal injury and litigation cases and has been recognized as a “Super Lawyer” in Connecticut Magazine for the past six years. He attributes the firm’s success to the long term relationships they have built with their clients and their families, adding, “word of mouth is how we have built our business rather than gimmicky commercials and billboards.”

The primary goal of the firm is to provide excellent service to clients. The attorneys at Weber and Carrier strive to resolve disputes in a goal-oriented and efficient way. They work as a team to provide the superior benefits of collective knowledge and experience to best fit their client’s needs.

The firm also offers alternative ways of managing divorce, including collaborative and mediation depending on the needs of each family. Collaborative divorce involves the parties and their lawyers working together to reach a resolution amicably in private offices rather than having a judge decide all the issues in an adversarial court setting. Collaborative divorce is a modern approach that encourages the parties to achieve their separation in a way that is less expensive and significantly less stressful than traditional court battles. Mediation is a similar process that involves both parties working with one lawyer who helps the parties to reach a divorce agreement without each hiring their own legal counsel.

According to Attorney Diane Chace, “we want to help clients and their families through a difficult time without the unnecessary expense and upset that comes with a court battle.” She encourages her divorce clients to participate in the collaborative process or mediation to eliminate the high cost, stress and delay that comes with litigating divorce cases in court. Attorney Chace has also been very active in community volunteering for over 20 years. She currently serves as a board chairman at the Hospital of Special Care. Her grandfather was one of the original founders of the hospital and she is honored to serve the hospital and to continue the family legacy.

Weber states, “we have represented generations of clients” and recalls, “there are clients that I first met when I joined the firm back in 1982. Over the years, we have represented their children and then grandchildren. Excellent work ethic, attention to detail and a longstanding commitment to the best interests of our clients are the keys to the firm’s longevity and success.” He concludes by saying, “hard work and caring about our clients is what keeps our clients coming back.”

Weber and Carrier have been recognized many times for their strong commitment to serving the community. Michael Carrier and his wife, Rita, received this year’s Ken Griffin Compass Award, which is one of the most prestigious awards given annually by the New Britain-Berlin YMCA. Awardees are families that demonstrate and foster a culture of giving back and serving the community. Michael Carrier serves on the board at the Chamber of Commerce and donates his time to many other community organizations.

Moving into the future, the firm hopes to continue its growth and reputation for outstanding client satisfaction for existing clients as well as new clients. The firm plans to provide excellent service to its clients and support for the community for many years.
