YORK, Pa. - For the first time in a while, the New Britain Bees started off a game well and ended it the same - although they did have to survive a late rally to do so.

Led by a three-run third inning, the Bees started out their short four-game road trip on the right note, beating the York Revolution 4-3 Thursday night.

Michael Crouse singled to left field with two outs to bring home Conor Bierfeldt for the first run of the game.

Jovan Rosa then followed up with a two-run single.

Jamar Walton tacked on an insurance run with a solo homer in the top of the sixth.

But York started to make a comeback in the seventh when Isaias Tejeda hit a two-run home run. Jared Mitchell doubled an inning later off Brandon League to bring the score within one.

Mike Lee pitched six innings for New Britain, allowing two runs, three hits and striking out six.
