NEW BRITAIN - Jordan Hinshaw is on the move.

The New Britain Bees traded the outfielder to the Long Island Ducks for future considerations, the club announced Tuesday afternoon.

Hinshaw was signed by the Bees on June 6 and quickly established himself as a starter in his first season in the Atlantic League. In 60 games with New Britain, the 27-year-old hit .328 with one home run and 18 RBI. He also stole 12 bases.

The Bees are currently last in the Liberty Division with an 18-23 second half record entering Tuesday night’s game against the Bridgeport Bluefish. The Ducks, meanwhile, sit atop the division standings and are looking to secure a playoff berth.

The trade now leaves New Britain with three outfielders on its roster - Conor Bierfeldt, Michael Crouse and Jamar Walton.
