NEW BRITAIN - The New Britain Bees could not discover an offensive identity Wednesday night against the Bridgeport Bluefish.
The Bees could only muster together four hits and struck out 10 times as a team leading to the 4-1 loss to the Bluefish.
Casey Coleman had a strong start. He went 4 innings for the Bees allowing one earned run and struck out five. Brandon Fry went 1 2/3 innings in relief allowing two earned runs and striking out two.
Nate Roe, Brandon Shimo and Mike Hepple finished the 2 1/3 innings left and the trio didn’t allow a run.
Jamar Walton had a pair of hits in the game. His teammates Jovan Rosa and Jake McGuiggan each chipped in a hit of their own.
The Bees will conclude the series against Bridgeport on Thursday before returning home Friday to host Long Island in a weekend series.
