New Britain Bees pick up blowout victory to keep pace in second half divisional race

LANCASTER, Pa. - The New Britain Bees romped over the host Lancaster Barnstormers on Sunday afternoon, 10-1, for their second straight victory, keeping pace with the division-leading Long Island Ducks at five games behind as they strive for a second half division title and Atlantic League playoff berth.

Bijan Rademacher (3-for-5, 2 runs, 1 RBI), Ryan Jackson (3-for-5, 1 run, 1 RBI), Jared James (2-for-3, 1 run, 1 RBI), Ozzie Martinez (2-for-4, 1 run) and Mike Carp (2-for-6, 1 run, 3 RBI) all had multiple-hit games for the Bees.

Rainy Lara allowed just two hits and one earned run over five innings to earn the victory. Chris Reed held Lancaster scoreless over three innings and Sammy Gervacio closed out the game.
