Adult, teen contestants sought for Miss Polonia pageants

PLAINVILLE - The Miss Polonia Connecticut organization is seeking contestants for its upcoming pageant program, for Miss Polonia Connecticut and Miss Polonia Connecticut Teen

Participation is open to all girls and women of Polish descent between the ages of 12 and 26, who reside, attend school or work in Connecticut, according to Pageant Coordinator Bogusia M. Gladysz.

The orientation seminar for contestants is scheduled for Saturday, June 17, at 3 p.m., in the Grand Ballroom of The Polish National Home, 60 Charter Oak Ave., Hartford.

The pageant will take place Saturday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m., at The Polish National Home, 60 Charter Oak Ave., Hartford.

The new Miss Polonia Connecticut 2018 will represent the state during the national Miss Polonia USA Pageant, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30, in New York City.

She will also receive a $1,000 scholarship, a round-trip plane ticket to Poland or other prizes.
