NEW BRITAIN – The school district recently announced a new registration process for New Britain High School students who participate in sports.

Student athletes at NBHS will now be able to register online using FamilyID – a secure registration platform that provides students with an easy, user-friendly way to register for programs. The FamilyID system keeps track of information in the users profile, so users will only have to enter their information once, even if they are registering for multiple programs.

The registration deadline for fall sports is Aug. 24. Football players must complete the process before Aug. 14 when tryouts begin.

A physical exam must be current – within the past 13 months – and signed by a physician. If the student’s physical is to expire during the season, they will not be able to play until a new physical exam is received. Physical forms can be found on the registration website below.

Users should have doctor’s information, health insurance information, emergency contact names and phone numbers handy when registering.

Student athletes can register for programs at www.familyid.com/new-britain-athletics .
