NEW BRITAIN - Nothing screams summer like the fun of the pool and the bright glow of an animated movie about talking fish. Both of those joys will be combined at the “Flick & Float” event tonight when “Finding Dory” will be shown.
“Finding Dory,” is the sequel to “Finding Nemo.” In the new film Dory begins a search for her long lost family. The movie is rated PG.
The movie will be projected on a screen set up near Willow Brook Pool in New Britain at 8:45. Those who show up at 8 p.m. will a bounce house and concessions like popcorn, soda and candy there as well.
Floats are admitted for those looking to get their feet wet. While the ideal way to watch a fish movie would be in the water, lawn chairs are allowed for people to chill on the side. Coolers are not permitted.
There is a $3 entrance fee, and a bathing suit is required whether the attendee plans on touching the water or not. There is no additional charge for the bounce house.
Willow Brook Pool is located at 200 Mill St. Parking is available on the street and at the nearby school lot. A rain date has yet to be determined.
