NEW BRITAIN - CCARC’s 47th annual Golf Open was the organization’s best ever, raising $90,000.

The annual fundraising tournament took place on Sept. 13 at Timberlin Golf Course in Berlin. The more than 40 sponsors, including official tournament sponsor Farmington Bank, and nearly 100 other donors made the event a success, organizers said.

John Barbieri and Patricia Strazzulla served as the event’s co-chairmen, along with the event’s honorary chairwoman, Lillian Agostini.

Members of the Golf Open Committee included Lillian Agostini, Dawn D’Amato, Bob Dinunzio, Melissa Gagne, Charlene Hicks, Barbara Marzi, William McCue, Steve Nims, Anne Ruwet, Christine Skeggs and Michael Wiernasz.

Proceeds supported CCARC’s programs, which offer high-quality services to people with disabilities.

The next CCARC Golf Open is set for Sept. 12, 2018.
