Nearly 8,000 New Britain residents have voted on Election Day so far

NEW BRITAIN – The city’s municipal election is moving “extremely smoothly” according to Democratic Registrar of voters Lucian Pawlak.

Pawlak said 7,928 of New Britain’s 34,568 total registered voters, or about 22-percent had voted as of 5:22 p.m. with still more than two hours left before polls close.

In 2015, just more than 8,500 people voted in the mayoral race.

Polls close at 8 p.m. Check back later this evening for results on New Britain’s municipal election.
