NEW BRITAIN - Are you an adult who regrets not learning a second language while you were in school? The Language School for Adults presented by the Polish American Foundation is offering Polish lessons beginning Jan. 22.
Whether you’re a beginner or are looking to advance your skills, the Language School for Adults offers three levels of instruction at the Pulaski Club at 89 Grove St. in New Britain.
First-year Polish: part one will be offered on Monday and Wednesday nights for four weeks starting on Jan. 22 from 6-7:30 p.m. with Professor Jonathan Shea. First-year Polish: part two will run for eight weeks on Wednesday nights starting Feb. 28 also from 6-7:30 p.m. with Shea.
Third-year Polish will have a winter and spring session and be taught by Joe Bienasz. The winter session will be offered for four weeks on Wednesday nights starting Jan. 24 from 6-7:30 p.m. The spring session meets for eight weeks on Wednesdays starting Feb. 28 from 6-7:30 p.m.
All classes, except the four-week part three Polish class, cost $140. The four-week third-year class costs $80.
Class sizes vary between 15-20 people for the beginner course, and 10 for the advanced levels. The deadline to register is the day of the first class.
For people living outside of Connecticut and would still to learn Polish, an online class via Skype is available.
