NEW BRITAIN - With each new month comes a First Friday event at the New Britain Museum of American Art.

February’s First Friday will feature the musical talents of Mass-Conn-Fusion, which, as its name suggests, includes members from both sides of the state line.

The group performs well-known Motown, R&B, jazz and blues tunes from the 1960s to the present.

Alcoholic offerings from Litchfield Distillery and Alvarium Beer Co. will be available for tasting.

In addition, guests can engage in a number of activities and buy homemade goods from Maker’s Market vendors.

First Friday is meant to give visitors an opportunity to listen to local musicians, explore the galleries at the museum and sample food and drink from nearby suppliers.

A cash bar will be available.

The event is scheduled for Friday from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is $7 for members and $12 for non-members.

For more information contact the museum at 860-229-0257 or visit nbmaa.org.
