NEW BRITAIN - The city’s annual Breakfast with the Easter Bunny is less than three weeks away and there is still room to register for the family-friendly event.

The event will be hosted in the banquet room of Stanley Golf Course’s Back Nine Tavern on Saturday, March 24. As in past years, there are two breakfast seating times to choose from: 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

“This will be a great opportunity for families to spend time together during the spring season. The Stanley Golf Course will be open, Easter will be right around the corner, and spring will finally be in the air. This is a wonderful time to enjoy breakfast with your family,” Mayor Erin Stewart said in her announcement of the event.

According to the city’s Parks and Recreation Department, each guest will arrive at their registered seating time to enjoy a buffet breakfast, a magic show with Amazing Andy, a jelly bean contest and arts and crafts projects.

Children will receive a photo with the Easter Bunny and a basket of Easter goodies to take home.

“The event filled up quickly last year. Register soon to make sure you don’t miss this event,” said Erik Barbieri, director of the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department.

Advanced registration is required in order to attend, and space is limited. Registration is $15 per person (1 year old and over) and includes buffet breakfast, magic show, and arts and crafts activities.

Registration will be accepted in person at the Parks and Recreation office in City Hall or by calling 860-826-3360.
