NEW BRITAIN - The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department’s summer brochure has arrived.
The 38-page brochure has something for all ages.
For parents looking for activities for their children, the department offers a variety of camps, swim lessons and other recreational programs.
The brochure offers plenty for adults, too, including swimming lessons, yoga in the park, a kickball league, aqua zumba and other activities.
The aquatics section of the brochure includes information on pool hours, pool passes, pool party themes and this year’s Flick & Float event.
Some of the special events highlighted include the department’s lunchtime concert series, which returns on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Central Park and a complete listing of bands that will perform in the summer concert series in Walnut Hill Park.
The 38-page brochure also has specific information regarding the department’s Rose Garden Festival, Farmers’ Market, the Great American Boom and Main Street USA.
The city’s summer brochure can be found in the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department’s office in City Hall or online by following the link at www.newbritainct.gov/services/recreation/ .
