NEW BRITAIN - Alderman Daniel Salerno is inviting residents to join him for coffee this weekend at Back Nine Tavern.
Salerno is hosting his 32nd Coffee for Open Government session from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Back Nine Tavern.
“It was a year ago that the 24th Coffee was held at the Back Nine Tavern and it has been a full year of the Calvanese family restaurant success. The tavern and the course is part of New Britain and open to the public. It has proven to be a successful destination spot for people throughout Central Connecticut, the restaurant, golf course and driving range,” Salerno said.
Salerno said residents can talk about whatever they want, from the budget to the proposed quarry deal with Tilcon.
“Let me be very clear. People are invited to ask questions about anything they like and register concerns,” Salerno said. “I encourage citizens to attend and present me with issues and problems. If I don’t have an answer for you right away, I’ll educate myself and get back to you.”
Salerno can be reached at 860-977-5311 or by email at email@example.com.
Coffee and some pastries will be free. The Back Nine Tavern is at Stanley Golf Course, 245 Hartford Road.
