NEW BRITAIN - Volunteers are still needed at the New Britain Rose Garden in Walnut Hill Park as the fifth annual New Britain Rose Garden Festival approaches.

Anyone who would like to lend a hand is asked to join in on Friday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The festival is Saturday.

Volunteers are not required to be trained and can help with simple cleaning tasks such as pulling weeds, pruning and removing any damage caused by winter weather.

Walnut Park’s rose garden is the largest volunteer garden in the area.
