CCSU Department of Music showcases its talent Friday

NEW BRITAIN - Central Connecticut State University’s Department of Music showcases its talent on Friday, Feb. 8, at its seventh annual PRISM Concert at Alumni Hall in the CCSU Student Center.

The CCSU Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, University Singers and Sinfonietta will be among the performers in the concery, which will begin at 7:30 p.m..

A reception, with light refreshments and a cash bar available, will precede the concert at 6:45 p.m.

At 7:30, the concert will start and, like a prism, a continuous but ever-changing pool of light will highlight each group of performers until the last note is played.

Applause will be held until the end.

 Tickets may be purchased in person at the CCSU Student Center information desk, online at ccsu.showare.com or in person at the door. 

Prices are: $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and veterans, and $8 for CCSU students. All tickets are nonrefundable.

A number of free tickets also are available for high school music students. 

 Profits from the concert will help fund student scholarships, instrument purchases, and other needs of the department.

Plenty of convenient, free parking will be available in Welte Parking Garage and nearby lots.
