Police search for suspect in an attempted armed robbery of a New Britain Herald employee

NEW BRITAIN - Police are searching for the suspect in an attempted armed robbery of a New Britain Herald employee.

The suspect is a Hispanic male in his 50s or 60s, the victim said to police. He was wearing a black hat, blue jeans and a white and black shirt, she added.

The incident happened on Friday afternoon around 242 Main Street. The victim was walking back to her car when a man brandished a handgun and ordered her to give him her money. She ran to her car and was unharmed.
