Juvenille male receives serious injuries in New Britain mini-bike accident

NEW BRITAIN - A juvenile male was transported to an area hospital in an accident involving a car and a minibike Saturday night.

Police responded to the incident in the area of North and Clark streets around 8:35 p.m., according to Police Chief Chris Chute.

The juvenile was riding the minibike and was taken to an area hospital for treatment of serious injuries, Chute said.

The driver of the car, a 52-year-old New Britain man, was not injured and is cooperating with the investigation, Chute added. No charges had been filed as of Sunday morning.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with additional information or who may have seen the crash is asked to contact Sgt. Steven King at 860-826-5071.
