One person evaluated by medics after rear-end accident at intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and East Main

NEW BRITAIN – One person was evaluated by medics after a rear-end car accident at the intersection of Martin Luther King Drive and East Main Street Friday morning.

The accident was reported around 8:50 a.m.

A Toyota Corolla rear-ended a van transporting people, some of them elderly, and heading East right before the intersection, police said. The person evaluated was from the van and was done so as a precaution.

The van was able to be driven away from the scene. The Corolla was towed away from it.
