NEW BRITAIN – A “Farm to Zoom” fundraiser focused on clean eating with chef Terry Walters will be hosted by the New Britain Public Library Thursday.

The library board of trustees is sponsoring its popular biennial fundraiser, Literary Libations Vol. VI, through a virtual fashion.

The event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24 on Zoom. To register for this virtual event, go to The event is $35 per person.

The planning committee reimagined its original “Farm to Table” dinner idea and instead will hold a “Farm to Zoom” event focused on clean eating, according to the committee. Walters, a highly sought-after clean food chef and award-winning cookbook author, will host an evening of cooking demonstrations of healthy foods made from ingredients most people already have on hand. Walters will engage participants in a lively chat about clean eating and how to boost the immune system.

Several copies of Walters’ cookbook “Eat Clean Live Well” will be given away as prizes for trivia questions and random drawings. Guests may come online for the whole time or pop in and out. A shopping list of ingredients will be provided in advance if participants would like to cook along with Walters.

The Zoom link to join the event will be mailed the day of the event. Participants are asked to include an email for the guest list.
