CCSU has had no new covid-19 cases since Tuesday

NEW BRITAIN – There are no new covid-19 cases reporting out of Central Connecticut State University as of Tuesday.

According to the university, it has been three days since they have had a positive case for resident students, out-of-town and New Britain commuter students, or faculty and staff.

There is one person currently in quarantine and no one is in isolation, according to the university’s daily covid-19 dashboard.

For the week of Oct. 4 to Oct. 10, 205 resident students and staff were tested by Griffin Health. Out of the 205, no one was tested positive, making it a 0% positivity rate. In self-reported cases, there was one New Britain commuter student and three out-of-town commuter students who tested positive for coronavirus.

The university contracted with Griffin Health to conduct weekly covid-19 tests of 25% of the resident students and residence hall staff, as well as student athletes who are in season and practicing.
