Three new coronavirus cases reported at New Britain schools

NEW BRITAIN – There were three new covid-19 case that was reported by New Britain schools on Feb. 22.

The district was notified Monday that two members of the DiLoreto Elementary and Middle School community tested positive for covid-19. The affected people are currently in isolation and were last at the school on Feb. 17 and 18, respectively.

After investigations in collaboration with the city’s Public Health Department, it was determined that there were no close contacts related to the Feb. 17 case, according to the district. In regard to the Feb. 18 case, there was one close contact and that person has been instructed to quarantine.

Also Monday, the district was notified that a member of the Satellite Careers Academy community tested positive for covid-19. The person is in isolation and there were no close contacts with this case.
