ROCKY HILL -- Two New Britain residents have been charged with murdering a Rocky Hill man.

Franklyn Cruz, 42, and Madeline Dickey, 35, of 39 Chapman St., New Britain, face murder and robbery charges in the death of Robert Iacobucci, according to state police.

Iacobucci, 75, was found dead Monday inside his home, at 60 Pondside Lane. Local police were called there around 7:30 p.m. and, a little over an hour later, the Connecticut State Police Central District Major Crime Squad was requested by the New Britain State’s Attorney to initiate a homicide investigation along with police from Rocky Hill.

According to state police, Iacobucci’s vehicle was missing from his residence when his body was discovered. The vehicle was later found in New Britain.

State police said New Britain officers detained Cruz and Dickey in connection with the stolen vehicle before they were charged in Iacobucci’s death.

The investigation is ongoing, and state police say they expect additional arrests.
