NEW BRITAIN – The American Savings Foundation is accepting applications for its third and final application round for its 2021 Program Grants.
The application deadline is Thursday, July 22.
“The timing for this application round coincides with the start of many agencies’ new fiscal year,” said Maria Sanchez, director of grantmaking and community investment for the foundation. “As we begin to return to a ‘new normal’ post-covid, we know some agencies are rebuilding their direct program services, while others may be developing new programs specifically to address emerging needs in the community.”
The foundation aims to help support programs that can demonstrate how they make a meaningful difference in the community and in the lives of those they serve. It will also be extending its consideration for funding for new, innovative programs that fill an unmet need in the community, and where there is evidence of broad local support.
Through October the foundation will also be accepting Community Grants applications for requests of up to $5,000. The Community Grants program is designed to respond to the need across the 64 Connecticut towns in central Connecticut the foundation serves.
