NEW BRITAIN – A mini textbook sale will be hosted by the Friends of the New Britain Public Library from August to September.

The annual event will start from Aug. 16 to Sept. 14. Those interested can check out the sale on the main floor of the library at 20 High St. in New Britain. It will be open during library hours. Check www.nbpl.info for hours and details.

This sale will be considerably smaller than in previous years, according to the Friends of the Library. It will feature gently used textbooks and some workbooks covering many categories from accounting to zoology, each for just $2.

There will also be some reference works and classics on sale. The inventory will be restocked weekly as stocks allow.

“Students, teachers, and lifelong learners are sure to find great bargains while knowing they are supporting their local library. The books sell fast so come early for the best bargains,” said the Friends of the Library.

All proceeds will go directly to support the New Britain Public Library.

“We have missed so many of our regular patrons and book-lovers this past year,” said Ashwinee Sadanand, a member of the Friends of the Library. “We look forward to seeing everyone at this sale which features many great finds.”
