NEW BRITAIN - For those who didn’t start their holiday shopping yet, an opportunity to make a dent in the gift list is coming up this weekend.

The New Britain Public Library has brought back its yearly holiday sale, happening Saturday, Dec. 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Main Library at 20 High St.

The 7th annual Holiday Pop-up Sale is an effort by the Friends of the New Britain Public Library, (NBPL) an all-volunteer organization that supports the library.

Gifts for sale will include books, CDs, DVDs, holiday decorations, greeting cards, jewelry and other unique and handmade items.

A special addition will be Precious Jewels, which sells costume jewelry for all tastes.

All proceeds from gift sales will be put back into the library, through the Friends’ ongoing initiatives and programs.

The event is open to the public. Face masks and social distancing are required.

All major credit cards will be accepted with a $5 minimum charge. Cash will also be accepted.

For updates visit the Friends’ social media pages, on Facebook @FriendsNBPL or Instagram @nbpl_friends.
