NEW BRITAIN – OKAY Industries in New Britain has filled its new strategic accounts manager role by promoting from within.
Danielle Koonz was promoted to the new role with the company Thursday.
“At OKAY, it is our goal to exceed customer expectations in the areas of quality, service and delivery, and I look forward to taking on a lead role in ensuring our team consistently delivers on that commitment,” Koonz said. “I am dedicated to strengthening our team and implementing additional continuous improvement ideas to increase efficiencies and better serve our customers.”
OKAY Industries is a contract manufacturer of components and subassemblies for global medical device Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
In her newly created role, OKAY Industries said Koonz will manage the Strategic Account Specialist team, identify and cultivate new company talent, conduct on-going trainings and execute projects to improve sales and customer experience in support of OKAY’s growth goals.
Koonz has been with OKAY since 2012 and was most recently a sales coordinator.

OKAY said Koonz is a member of the Women in Manufacturing (WiM) Connecticut Chapter and completed WiM’s national leadership training. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Southern Connecticut State University and resides in Branford with her family.
