NEW BRITAIN - The New Britain Public Library will be hosting History of UFOs in Connecticut: Past and Present on Tuesday, Oct. 4 in the Community Room.

Participants are welcomed at 6 p.m. for a presentation by Michael Panicello, UFO expert and state director of Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Connecticut Chapter.

“People are often amazed to hear that Connecticut has a rich history of unknown UFO sightings and events,” The New Britain Public Library said.

During the lecture Panicello will explore some of the current and historical UFO sightings in Connecticut and the surrounding area.

“Participants will get to examine past UFO sighting cases and learn why these are classified as potential non-humanoid, not of this world, crafts,” The New Britain Public Library said.

Participants will also get the opportunity to be a part of an open forum where they’ll discuss UFO sightings they would like to have documented for historical record.

Panicello has been the state director of Connecticut MUFON since 2013. Prior to that, he was a Connecticut MUFON state section director and a member of CAG (Case Assistance Group) International. MUFON is an all-volunteer, non-profit charitable corporation and the world’s oldest and largest civilian UFO investigation and research organization.
