NEW BRITAIN - The New Britain Bees have added another arm to their bullpen.

The team announced the signing of left-hander Greg Nappo Saturday afternoon.

Nappo, a former UConn pitcher, appeared in 16 games between Double-A Jacksonville and Triple-A New Orleans in the Miami Marlins organization this season. Before being released on June 19, the 28-year-old compiled a 0-2 record with a 3.57 ERA in 22 2/3 innings pitched. The high ERA was a result of his time in New Orleans, where his ERA stood at 5.91 after giving up seven runs in 10 2/3 innings.

Nappo was drafted by the Florida Marlins in the 18th round of the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft.

To make room for the former Husky, the Bees placed right-hander Jason Jarvis on the inactive list. Jarvis is 1-2 with a 6.56 ERA between 15 relief appearances and two starts this season.
