Plenty of local baseball talent to be on display next week at 45th annual Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star baseball game

BRISTOL - The rosters for the 45th annual Connecticut High School Coaches Association All-Star baseball games have been chosen and plenty of local talent will be on display next week at Plainville High School.

Five seniors from the area made one of the four 18-player senior teams, split up by four districts.

There were also five juniors picked for the junior select All-Star game, pitting the Blue Team against the Gray Team.

All the games will be held at Plainville.

For the seniors on Tuesday, June 12, District I will play District II at 7:15 p.m. and District III will play District IV at 4:30 p.m.

The juniors will play the following day at 6:15 p.m.

The 18 best players in the junior select game, as chosen by a committee of coaches, will represent Connecticut on Saturday, June 23 at 12:30 p.m. in a game against the best All-Stars from Massachusetts at Muzzy Field.

New Britain leads the way among area schools with four representatives. No other area team had more than one player selected.

The representatives from the local area are as follows.

Senior All-Star Games: District I - Ryan Greene (St. Paul), Paul Prior (Goodwin Tech), Mac Goulet (Bristol Eastern), Joey Zawisza (Newington) and Will Homar (New Britain).

Junior Select All-Star Game: Blue Team - Juan Camacho (Plainville), Daniel Rivera (New Britain) and Rufino Santiago (New Britain); and Gray Team - Gianni Fanelli (Berlin) and Javon Hernandez (New Britain).
