Every year, TCC stores give away backpacks full of school supplies to children. TCC stores are Verizon authorized retailers.
Between 1 and 4 p.m. on July 22, the first 220 children who walk in a participating store will receive a free backpack.
There are no strings attached and no purchases are required. Each backpack is filled with notebooks, pencils, glue sticks, folders and more.
College students are allowed to grab one too. According to a press release, TCC stores plan to donate about 187,000 backpacks in total. Over the past five years, over 750,000 backpacks have been donated.
“We are thrilled to support the education of our youth in our communities,” Scott Moorehead, the CEO of TCC’s parent company Round Room, said.
“By providing families across the country with essential school supplies, we’re easing the back-to-school shopping burden and helping set children up for success.”
