GLASTONBURY – Berlin girls basketball won its season opener Tuesday night, defeating Glastonbury 29-21.
The Redcoats held Glastonbury to seven points through the second half, taking the lead in the third and extending it through the second half after trailing entering intermission at 14-13.
Berlin’s Kailee Dimeo led in scoring with 12 points. She also grabbed 12 rebounds to complete a double-double.
Maddy Sadowski had six points and Alivia Hlikas had five points in the win for Berlin.
Newington 55, Windsor 34: Newington girls basketball picked up a win Tuesday night, beating Windsor 55-34.
Both sides were tied at 29 entering the fourth quarter before the Nor’easters turned it on and ran away with the game. At halftime Newington trailed at 26-23, allowing a 10-0 run from Windsor to close the first half.
