Feliks Luczynski, 89, of New Britain passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, after a long illness. Born in Poland to the late Jan and Marta (Klimkiewicz) Luczynski, he immigrated to the United States with his family in 1963 to provide a better life for them. Feliks had a strong work ethic, which was recognized by a 30-year employee award presented to him by Atlantic Machine Tool for his service and dedication as a machinist in their factory. Feliks’ favorite pastime was gardening and yard work. The flowers and perfectly lined rows of vegetable plants that he meticulously raised were his most prized possessions. Feliks had an impeccably perfect lawn. He was known to even manicure the grass with scissors! No one did it better. His zest for life will be missed by all who knew him.

Feliks is survived by his wife, Stefania (Rapacz) Luczynski; his children, John Luczynski and his wife, Renata, and Ewa Van Horn and her husband, Daniel; his seven adored grandchildren, Jamie, Krystie, Mathew, Emily, Jack, Jessica and Samantha as well as several nieces and nephews. Feliks was predeceased by his two infant children, Robert and Maria, his parents and siblings, Leon Luczynski, Wanda Wisniewska and Janina Kwiatkowska.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, April 8, 2017, from 8 to 9 a.m. at the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church.
